| The Beauty Of Angora Rabbit! #cute & cuddly. The Angora rabbit is a variety of domestic rabbit bred for its long, soft hair. The Angora is one of the oldest types of domestic rabbit, originating in Ankara, Turkey, along with the Angora cat and Angora goat. The rabbits were popular pets with French royalty in the mid 1700s, and spread to other parts of Europe by the end of the century. They first appeared in the United States in the early 1900s. They are bred largely for their long wool, which may be removed by shearing or plucking (gently pulling loose wool). [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| Underneath a rabbit like this is a very tiny, tiny rabbit I had one exactly the same that I rescued when I worked in the vets. It was so matted up and when we clipped it down we found that she was covered in maggots, lots of holes in her poor skin. We cleaned her up, treated her and when the owners brought her back, she was right back at square one again, so I asked could I keep her. I called her Blossom and the lovely little girl was also a diabetic bless.... She was so friendly xoxox | |
