Hedgehogs face many challenges.the first 4 weeks of a hedgehogs life are likely to be its last,with 1 out of 5 hedgehogs dying in this time.their lifespan depends a lot on weather,dry or cold summers will make life much harder for hibernation.the average hedgehog will die at about 3 yrs old.1 in 1,000 hedgehogs may live to be 10, but it is very doubtful that a hedgehog will live to be older than this,if only that its teeth get worn down and he starves.
