| As your all aware friday afternoon i found fleet my mini lop rabbit with a tilted head. When i got him out and put him on the floor he just started going nuts, rolling on the floor, he couldnt sit up! i got on the phone straight a way and they advised me to go straight down, which i did. we went straight in, and he was diagnosed with 'head tilt', which is a parasite on the brain which effcts the brain causing bunny to be un-stable, wobbly and roll. the vet gave him a steroid injection and a 4 week course of wormer called panacur...and a few sachets of syringe food....which cost £40 She said it will be touch and go. 4 days have passed and he is still no better neither worse... i keep him in a small toy box in the hog room at the moment as he cant move around...and holds himself up with the sides. here is one web site of the info: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

| i had a word with his breeder, and she hasnt experienced it in any of her rabbits, but she said a friend had, and her bunny made full recovery with a slight tilt....but it was a long road to recovery took almost 2 months of meds... i am gonna give him a big go at getting better.
on that note, he has perked up in himself, eating his bics and banana and apples...plus drinking...just looks a little miserable....he is better in his little container full of hay. | |

| Hey Tayer, I'm only just catching up with everything and then found this about poor Fleet.
I hope the treatment works for him and it does turn out to be an ear infection... even so, ear infections aren't to be taken lightly either!
Big loves
