| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Little Egrets only started breeding in the UK in 1996, but already these elegant birds can be seen at many sites around the south and east coasts. During the winter even more of these graceful white herons can be seen as other Egrets join them from the continent. This one, which is about to pack away a good sized Perch, was photographed at Dinton Pastures in Wokingham by Steven Day. He digiscoped the shot using a Nikon Prostaff 5 and a Coolpix P310. | |

| We used to get the herons coming to take the fish from the outside pond - bold as brass! | |
