Looks quite different to humans. Does it still have left and right cortex, frontal and occipital? Seems like if they are the parts that they are more separated than humans. Fascinating.x

Can't remember if the back is occipital or parietal. Left, right, front and back anyway. Smile

Dorsal and lateral views of the brain of the European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus), a modern insectivore that has retained many features characteristic of the primitive placental mammals. The neocortex lies dorsal and medial to the rhinal sulcus. V-I, first visual area; V-II, second visual area. The circles indicate the representation of the vertical meridian (mid-line) of the visual field; the triangles indicate the representation of the far periphery of the contralateral half of the visual field. Note the large olfactory bulbs (OB). The cortex ventral to the rhinal sulcus is largely devoted to the processing of olfactory input.
