I wanted to post this as im sure some people are aware of the time and effort that a good breeder puts in to holding and socialising their hog and whats involved . Most hoglets do not come out social .. Dobby was probably the one that i had to work less with as i no Helen didnt have to work with my Humphrey but this isnt always the case .
The first time handlings are easy ... the hoglets dont ball up or mind being held but they do quill and become quite grumpy Bramble was my worse and Arthur was quite hard work too ... you can generally tell after a few litters who is easy and who isnt easy ...I handle these hoglets now up to 3 times aday all are balled and i stroke and tease them out and spend a lot of time doing this i can tell these will all be fine as not one is huffy or popping just balled .. Billie and Horiato seem to be passing this not so nice stage .. but Honey and Benji are a mass of spikes .. i can see new ones coming through in masses . Breeding is enjoyable and very rewarding when you have people coming back for more or recommending you .. it feels great that i have waiting lists but just wanted to say its not easy it can be time consuming and i have been pricked several times
few pictures i have managed to get
