Black Panther x

Black Panther – a typical melanistic color of any species of big cats.

In Latin America, a Black Panther is just a melanistic jaguar; in Asia and Africa it's a black leopard, and in North America it may be black jaguars or pumas. By the way, it has been proven that black cats have a more balanced nervous system and faster response than other colors of cats.

aww, I got to tickle a black panther, or leopard , in south Africa. The manager of the lion park said he hated going in the pens with them as they were totally unpredictable, in comparison with the lions. Looked lovely to me though. But then I was on the outside.x

We have both traditional color pumas here or mountain lions are also called and recently hunters having been spotting black panthers or pumas. Scary for the deer hunters . I would love to take a photo.

My lovely friend Ohno from South Africa. Going out for a walk. Sat one night and blew gently on his face, which they love, and tickled his ears. We always felt a bit sorry for him, He had been dumped on the lionpark by his owner, who presumably got fed up of him as he grew bigger, and they didn't really have room for him. Poor little soul. Often wonder how he is. I had a pic of the black one, but think it was on my still 35mm camera rather than the digital one.

Aww, thanks. Got some lovely ones of the lion cubs. They were just beautiful. Did a two week volunteering thing in the place, in Lanseria near Johannesburg. Was an amazing experience. They are just so majestic to watch aren't they. Beautiful animals.
