pregnant aph

ok so i was looking through adverts and saw a pregnant aph for sale she has 20 days to go. she is in a wired cage and has hamster wheel with wood shavings. i have done alot of research for months and months also on breeding so iam quite clued up on it all altough i wouldnt choose to breed. iam very tempted to buy her just to get her in the correct enviroment. opinions on what to do or do i stay clear?????

I would have thought that moving her would stress her out with her being pregnant, but I might be wrong?
I suppose a pregnant hoggie in a wanted home rather than an unwanted home is better!

I think the advertiser needs to be advised, it is a bad idea to put undue stress on any pregnant animal. Can you pass on the ad info to the rescue? xxx

I dont doubt your concern for the pregnant aph ellel but I dont think it would be easy, especially if you havent owned an APH before x

yeah thats what i thought but they will sell her anyway as they say they dont have enough room for anymore.

What site is the ad on? Its shocking that people will do that

gumtree. i just want to help the aph really as the cage is shocking aswell.you would think the person would know not to breed if they dont have the space for anymore. CRAZY,

I cant see the ad on there anymore perhaps its been taken off. I agree, I think that people should perhaps use their heads if they dont or wont look after a female once its got pregnant

are they asking for money or free?

she got put with the male for 2 weeks so the intention was definatley pregnancy not a mistake i just dont understand why??? this will be her second litter.

She would be able to cope with a move but to be honest, she needs reporting - anybody selling pregnant animals should be reported in my opinion x

she said she keeping the male as got him first,and does not have room for her or anymore but she has been with male now for 2 weeks.

So she hasn't got another housing unit Elle ?x

she has 2 indoor rabbit cages but the female been with male for 2 weeks, if you google gumtree newcastle then put in african pygmy hedgehog search it will come up.sorry i tried to do that cut and paste but cant work it out! i will see if i can post a picture she sent me.give me 5 mins.
