hedgehogs housing

some good types of hedgehog homes

vivariums- these are very good, they keep in heat and have enough room, 3ft and up are the sizes best to use. make sure it is the VX vivarium.

zoozones- these are also very good, they keep a lot of heat and have plenty of room.

C&C cages- these are very spacious but it is hard to keep the heat in because of how open they are, these are better for warmer climates (i think)

storage tubs- these keep heat in and can be made to have lots of room and quite cheap- this setup isnt the biggest, but you can make them big and fit tubes from one to the other, also i wouldnt advise using water bottles unless you are certain your hog is drinking from it, also remember that it isnt there natural drinking position and it can strain there neck and has been said to chip teeth

The viv needs to be at least 36 " by 18 "
zoozones are very easy to clean
C&C cages more popular state side .

The last one i wouldn't recommend ... that storage box is far to small .x

i find vivariums are neat and stackable.
Zoozones take up a lot of floor space, but are handy to own, for traveling or if you have and unexpected hog arrive...ie rescues, babies...etc.

ahhhhh, yes i see...drafts etc.
the only reasonn i was asking, was because i was looking into them, but they too up a lot of floor space....they look good, but not practacal for the UK weather.

yes, not good for england hogs! if it was warmer i would have kept it but unfortunately- we are in england haha xx
