making your own hay.

i guess if you have a large amount of garden then you’ve already come up with this idea but even so for those of us with restricted access it’s an interesting idea… oh yes, what am I talking about, well, making our own hay. As far as I can see there’s just one drawback, my rabbits keep our grass cropped short and I’d have to restrict them in the summer to feed them a small amount in the winter…. but I wonder about the verges around our home, perhaps I could take some of that…

I have a massive garden ... and i do throw the grass behind the shed .... never thought about it though to be honest .x

nor me, just gave them some dried grass from the other day, i just swept to the corner...they are eating it...

Roadsides I would be very dubious on in case they had been sprayed with chemicals by the council for weed control and there is also the possibility of mites coming off the grass - most hay is treated so that this is not a problem - might not harm the bunnies but the mites could live in their homes. xx

wood is no good around bunnies, they have chewed a hole in the wooden barrier....ffluer on 1 side and soda pop on the other chewing their way through.

I can send you some bunny fluff to stuff the hole!! Gave Pudster a hair cut the other night - my god, she is one fluffy hairy bunny!!

i bet she needed it in this weather tho...never a dull moment with rabbits.

She is doing great - her outdoor run came with a sun cover and I have another big tarp that I can use to give her more shade - she is a total diva !!
