Thought you guys might want to see one of my current orphans Squidge. He was wandering the streets during the day, freezing cold and covered in fly strike. Weighing only 85 grams he was riddled with lungworm. One week on and we seem to be making progress as he's now 110 grams and eating independently.

Bless - how easy is the fly strike to clear up ? That is a nice weight gain as well - love the name and hope he continues to improve

The fly strike has to be picked off until every last fleck has gone before they turn into maggots, then you have a whole heap of trouble. It took me about 2 hours to get it all off, I use a toothbrush to comb it out. He was not a happy boy.
