| After comparing the lifestyles of female and male Komodo dragons, researchers discovered that female chores are so physically demanding that they take a toll on their wellbeing. Female Komodo dragons spend six months producing eggs and guarding their nests, a process during which they essentially fast. This might explain why female Komodo dragons are smaller and have shorter life spans than males. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |

| The Komodo Dragon is amazing. It's mahoosive too! Can kill an animal with one bite because of the bacteria in it's mouth (Yuk!) and has even been found high up in trees so it's a good climber too but you wouldn't think it if you saw the size of it.
