1. Bengal Cat

The name emerged from the name of Asian Leopard Cat, which is the breed that is crossed with a domestic cat thus forming the Bengal Cat. Marks of Bengal cat are rosettes, spots, and light/white belly. The structure of their body has a great resembles to Leopard Cat. While this breed has a wild appearance, it has a temperament of a domestic cat. The colors of the Bengal are brown, seal lynx point, silver and patterns can be spotted and marbled. The price of this cat is within range from few hundred to few thousand dollars. It is usually around $2500.

2. Savannah Cat

This breed is a result of crossing two breeds – a domestic cat and a Serval cat. The cats of this breed are very large. They also have wild appearance like the Bengal, due to their ancestor-long legs, long neck, wide rounded ears and a short tail with black rings. Savannah cats are loyal, friendly to stranger and very social. This intelligent cat is able can learn to open the doors, it’s very curious, known by their ability to jump up to 8 feet (2.5 m) high from the standing position. Price of this breed is in within range $600 to $7000.

3. Scottish Fold Cat

These cats are known for their unique characteristic – forward-bended ears, what is caused by their natural dominant-gene mutation. This cats have really big eyes and short nose. They are playful, loyal, adoptable and affectionate. The price of the cat ranges from few hundred dollars to few thousand.

4. British Shorthair

The British Shorthair is a result of two crossbreeding – first was when Romans brought cats to Britain and crossed them with wild native cats, second was crossing this breed to the Persian cat for improving the thickness of their fur. They are sold from less then $500 to $1000.

5. Persian cat

These cats are known for their long hair and a round faces. Similar cats were found in Persia, that’s why the are called Persian Cats. They are loyal to the owner, clean, friendly, and are known as quiet. They are adoptable to an apartment life. If you want this cat expect to pay in the range of $300 to $1000.

6. Russian blue

This breed of cat is natural breed, without any crossing. Firstly, they were found in the port of Arkhangelsk, Russia, so that’s how they’ve got their name. These cats have a silver-blue fur, which is unique and it is very soft. Tail is short with and has almost invisible stripes. They are highly intelligent and playful, but they can be unfriendly to strangers. Their bonds to owners are described as extremely loyal. For kittens you’ll have to pay around $400-$700, and for the adult cat it’ll cost you about $800-$2000.

7. Maine Coon

This is the oldest naturally occurring breed. It is coming from Maine, North America. They are known as gentle giants, because they are largest domestic breed with high hunting skills, but are playful and relax around children and dogs as well. They have intelligence above average. They can be bought for from within price range from $650 to under a 2000$.

8. Siamese Cat

This is breed that is one of the first that is recognized as oriental cat. The exact origin is unknown, but it’s believed that they are from Thailand. They are described as social and extravagant, and they often make strong bonds with owner. One can buy this cat in price range within $350-$1000 or higher.

9. Manx Cat

This breed of cat is domestic. They are known for they naturally occurring mutation that leaves them without their tails. So, most of them are entirely tailless, but some can have a very small tail. It is believed that this breed of cat has a behavior which is more dog-like, so they can learn have to fetch small objects and they are more able to learn simple commands than most of the rest cat breeds. They are also known for their habit to follow owner around like a dog. This breed can be purchased within the price range $350-$800 and more.

10. Sphynx Cat

This, not so usual cat breed is characteristic for the complete absence of fur. They first appeared in 1966, when Prune, a hairless kitten was born. Lack of fur makes them extremely cuddly, usually sleeping in bed with owners to keep themselves warm. They are not, however, easy to maintain – oils from the skin, that would be usually absorbed by the fur, tend to gather on their skin, so they need everyday-basis baths. They are playful, energetic, and very affectionate to their owners. They can be purchased fro less than $200 up to over a $1000.

My sister in law has a Bengal cat and our friends have two Savannah cats they are very cool cats. We have two plain old house cats.

Bristish shorthaired it was my Bear we beautiful cats .x

i like rag doll cats but main coons are nice.

They are absolutely gorgeous but what a price!! My dentist has a Main Coon who apparently came from a rescue, You wouldn't think it would you?
