Register by 1st February to take part in this year’s Hibernation Study by British Hedgehog Preservation Society and People's Trust for Endangered Species
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]2013 Hibernation Survey
A study was conducted 40 years ago which suggested a link between climate and when hedgehogs come out of hibernation. Last year we repeated this study and over two thousand people logged around 45,000 hedgehogs across Britain. The unusual weather in 2012 has made patterns of activity quite confusing so we are repeating the survey this year to find out more.
We need your help to collect hedgehog records from 1st February until 31st August 2013.
Simply tell us every time you see a hedgehog, noting its location and whether it is alive or dead.
To enter sightings you will need a username and password. If you took part in the survey last year then you can simply log in as before.
Once you are registered you can record a sighting at any time by clicking on "ENTER YOUR RECORD".
Let’s find out what these hedgehogs are up to!
