Its been a lovely warm day today but please will everyone remember to leave out shallow bowls of water day and night for foraging Hedgehogs, lots of people think wild animals can find their own water source but in dry weather lots of animals suffer from lack of drinking water. This time of year female hogs will be either pregnant or suckling hoglets and need a bit of support with a bowl of water, food as well if possible but the water is vital, remember "NO MILK" it makes them very poorly they are Lactose Intolerant, I know, we keep banging on about the "NO MILK FOR HEDGEHOGS" but if anyone new is browsing re what to put out for hogs to eat/drink they may not be aware re this information.

Another way to help the hogs find natural food in a dry spell is to water your garden nightly, damp soil means more insects for hogs to eat, if there is a hosepipe ban then just throw your bathwater on the garden to encourage insects.
