Well, it was going to happen babies are coming in. Today we have 16 hoglets in our care, some are with their Mums and it looks like that number is going to increase. Female hogs having to go farther than normal to get water, food and getting killed or injured leaving orphaned hoglets. Please call us on 01453 823871 or 07870378207 if you find any hoglets out in the day without Mum. It may just be they are being bold, but better to be sure. It is not normal for hoglets to be wandering around out of the nest in the day. We have a great team that can advise you. We would consider any hedgehog out in the day a potential emergency, but if it is a hoglet then even more so. Please don't try and feed them milk if they are big enough to drink from a saucer then water is the best. Thank you xx
