Things have been hotting up at Secret World with over 280 new admissions to Secret World since the beginning of July due to the soaring temperatures! Hedgehogs are amongst many animals suffering in the heat and this weekend you can visit some of the latest inmates at our annual hedgehog & Tortoise weekend. Once again we will be opening our doors to the public on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th from 10am - 4pm. Not only will you meet some of our prickly orphans but you will be able to meet Eric the Giant tortoise now weighing in at over 9 stone ! Members of the chelonian society will be on hand to give advice about tortoises and the best way to look after them. I would so love to visit but i am betting it is a very long way from Cornwall.

This hedgehog was brought into us on in August, it had been stepped on and some of the prickles got stuck the persons shoe

Last week we asked for your help with caring for our hedgehogs. We have been delighted with the amount of positive responses and the mass amount of donations we have received. We are still receiving amazon packages through the post and are pleased to say that our hedgehogs have been dinning on the finest kitten food. A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ALL THAT GOT INVOLVED!
