It is with deep sorrow that I have to let you all know that sadly, Autumn has passed away tonight.
Such a cheeky little madam that never seemed to grow and after talks with Claire at Wallasey Hedgehog Rescue, she suspected that she was a "clanger". This is the equivalent of a hedgehog having Downs Syndrome - the symptoms are lack of growth and failure to gain weight, most do not make it past three months of age and very rarely do they make it to one year of age.
I would not have missed the opportunity of caring for her - she always greeted me in the mornings, just as she had today, she was a cheeky madam right to her last moments and I shall miss her greatly.
She will be laid to rest in my Dad's flower garden tomorrow by Belle - she can run free with Belle and my other loved and lost ones at The Bridge and I will always feel blessed that she shared my life for a few short weeks, weeks filled with love and laughter.
Night Night Autumn, as always, not goodbye, just off on new adventures xx
