Wheels?? Empty
PostSubject: Wheels??   Wheels?? Icon_minitimeSun Jan 03, 2010 7:53 pm

Hi,

I have been researching the flying saucer and silent spinner wheel, any comments or info would be appreciated.

Have read the saucers are not good for a hog due to the way it makes them run but the silent spinners fall over. I am probably going to purchase a zoo zone so will have to be free standing.

Have seen from the pics on here that both are used but would like to hear preferences.

Please help. lol

Thanks

Sarah

We use the flying saucer wheels and always have done with all 8 of my hedgehogs, weve never had any problems with them and I think they are much easier for cleaning as the wheel just pops off the stand for you to wash. Mine love them Very Happy

Iv found the flying saucers to be pretty much silent, the only noise I ever really hear off them is if the wheel is catching on the wall of their vivs or on their litter trays, other than that they are fine Smile

Same here all mine now have flying saucers and they love them, and last so much longer than the savic wheels, and a hell of a lot easier to clean

I use both the silent spinners and the flying saucers - if you are using a zoozone you will have to cut roughly three quarters on an inch off the metal poles that fit into the silent spinners otherwise your lid will not fasten on your zoozone.

The flying saucers are easier to pull out and clean but I haven't had any problems with the silent spinners - you have to bury the base of the silent spinners into the substrate. The silent spinners can be moved around but I haven't had them fall over as yet.

Savic wheels are just too noisy - I had one once and it was quickly removed the next day due to the amount of noise it produced.

Thank you for all your help, looks like a flying saucer wheel is going to be the one.
