These two clips show Alan the Hoglet nest building. He would keep me amused for ages as I watched him keeping busy.
He came in during 2011 as close to death as I've seen a hedgehog. It took:
Sophie the nurse two hours to pick off the maggots, fly eggs, ticks and fleas Three days hand feeding (because he wasn't strong enough to feed himself) Three weeks TLC in HQ Five weeks with Alan one of our volunteer carers to fatten him up ready for release
He was released October 2011 into a badger free private wood, where we hope he enjoys a long and happy life.

aww, love him. Absolutely adorable. made me giggle watching the newspaper going up and down with him under it, and then his nose poking out the end. Lovely video.x
