fleet and ffluer's progress....

i have some pics from just now of the happy couple....

well this is the 4th night together....i have read up that rabbits can not get pregnant for 4 days of each month...whether that is old wives tail or not...i decided to test the theory an keep them in together for 7 nights!!
ffluer has become a nasty so and so....and very vocal....all she does is grunt and squeal and whine....she has bitten me a few times....and she is very very territorial....she hates me moving her hutch around and hates me sweeping her run!!
fleet on the other hand is a gentle man...a real dream....he meets and greets me....he will purr....he is fab.

so for anyone who is thinking of getting a rabbit i would recommend a buck.....coz of all the does iv owned....they all seem to be quite nasty!!

fingers crossed for babies...if no luck im gonna get a new doe!!

your very lucky then lou....lol.....on the other hand, maybe the doe's are moody when there is a male around!! dont blame them...!

i know...i really want baby bunnies....im still thinking of that steel butterfly bunny.....i may go back in the new year and check if it is still there.

i just checked ffluer which i have been doing every day for the last month.....and i can deffo feel a head or a marble ball...in her tummy.

i think she maybe further than i thought...coz i dont think it would of formed within a week....what you think girls??

well iv separated them now, well will do after her last run around in the run!!....im gonna keep her in the zoozone with a box in for privacy.....and iv decided to keep her in the zoozone coz its easier for me to keep an eye on things.

my mother-in-law will be having this baby....so im glad it already has a home!!

she smells like a ferret too.....very musky....i can still smell her on me!!

well she has been on and off out in the run with fleet, but sleeping separately, since i found out she wasnt having any babies.

but i have kept them sleeping together for the past 8 nights.....so i had guessed.....from them sleeping together between the 24th-31st january......but if im feeling little marbles in her tummy....maybe she is further than i thought.

who knows....just fingers crossed. they will stay separate after tonight now.....so i know once them dates have passed....she aint preggers....otherwise....id be constantly waiting for bunnies to arrive...lol

I shall keep my fingers crossed as I want to see little baby bunny photos - I love bunnies x

girls i did log off before seeing to the rabbits....but i just had to log back on.....i have just felt the baby bunnies move and kick in ffluers tummy.....it was really amazing.....its like feeling your own tummy when your preggers.

i sat there for about half an hour, with my hand laid on her tummy.....and its moving around....i think only 1...but she may surprise me...but she isnt huge.....and i think she has about a week or so to go....not long i dont think.

over the moon....

she is a nasty bunny tho....she just attacked my hand, when i moved her bowl to the corner.....but i guess we are all hormonal...when we are ready to drop...

Aaaah bless her Tayer, I'd have bets on more than one though....

im hoping she dont have multiple pregnancy's otherwise..ill have to get the syringe feed out....but i know that bunnies only get fed twice a day....so i read up on the net.

better than every 2 hours.

As long as mum is happy, then I'm sure she'll take quite good care of them.

My first two rabbits were Hazel, a black Dutch rabbit and Blackberry who was a big white one with black eyeliner and mascara on and had black in the middle of both her standy up ears. The very next morning we had 4 babies and ended up with most of Watership Down!!

aww they are all lovely how nice to feel them move too . Is soda pop a male as i thought two males werent suppose to be kept together ? or have i got it wrong i no nothing about rabbits .x

you can keep male and male....male and female if your breeding for a short time or nuetured.....and female and female.

you cant keep guinea pig and rabbits in together.....unless you feed them different food for their own needs!!

but they are all in separate cages....i just introduced soda-pop to them, which didnt go down to well, coz not long after that pic both of them ganged up on her!!..

awwww could that be because the other two have a bond now .x
