[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Reptile lover Scott Adams is no stranger to snakes – but even he was shocked when he opened the front door of his Telford home to find a giant eight-foot long green anaconda dumped outside.
Mr Adams carefully unwrapped the snake, which is regarded as the biggest in the world and can grow up to 30 feet, after it had been left outside his home in St Georges on Monday. It had been wrapped in a tied duvet cover and placed inside a plastic container with holes punched in it.
The 28-year-old, who runs Exotic Zoo an animal encounter business for schools and birthday parties, has now decided to take the snake in, which he has christened Tiny, and add it to his burgeoning family.
It includes eight snakes, two lizards, 80 hissing cockroaches, African Pygmy hedgehogs, giant snails and a whole array of other weird and wonderful creatures.
Mr Adams said: “I have signs on my car advertising Exotic Zoo so I imagine whoever has left it outside my door did so because they knew I would know what to do with it.
“His was heavy so I cleared a room, got my snake hook and cautiously started to open the cover.
“To be honest I expected it to be a Burmese python, as they grow fast into huge snakes – but it was a very heavy eight-foot green anaconda.”
