Rescue Boy Number 3

I have now confirmed that I will be collecting the little boy from the same owner as the two girls - she has been let down so asked if I would take him as well.

Claire has agreed to take him for fostering as she is close to the area - pictures will follow shortly.

Quick update, just got this little lad back to mine. He's all settled in his ZZ. (may I add my hog/sewing room now looks like a bomb has hit it as I had to take down a shelving unit otherwise the ZZ would have been on the floor.)

Anyway he is lovely, very friendly, pops like crazy for a few mins but once he's noticed your holding him he really comes round.

His nails are very long, managed to get to one paw but thought I was pushing my look if I tried for another. I'll have a bash later when he's out, and I will also take some pictures.

He is very sweet, he's going to make someone a lovely little boy.

Weldone you for taking him in Claire i have changed your status name to Foster carer Think nails was a issue with Suzy too try sitting him in warm water for a couple of mins it may soften the nail and they tend to be more relaxed in the water ..

You sure you not going to keep him Claire ..

Lovely to meet you again Claire and your mum - glad you got home safely and that he is settling into his new foster home - please think of another name other than Spike!

Just general information, he is a dark eyed Cinnicot, approx. 6 months of age and currently un-registered.

Just a couple of photo's from this evening. I managed to get his front paw's nails cut, and two nails on one of his back feet, but it's very problematic as the back nails are all curled under. I'm going to try the warm water trick tomorrow. I didn't want to throw too much at him all at once.

On the matter of keeping him, as much as I would love to - as he is amazing. I think he will make such a great pet its better that he go through the rescue. He has no issues really, so he could easily be a pet for someone without experience. I imagine as time goes on the hedgies coming in won't always be as friendly as him, and won't be as easy to home. So yes, I'm sure he'll get a home soon, and it will bring in a bit of money for the rescue too.

Some more pictures of foster boy. He is such a charmer! He doesn't like actually being picked up, as in the actual lift he balls right up but as soon as he is in your hands he is fine. He is a real sweetie.
