ffluer...

i was expecting baby bunnies, just gone in to feed her and she has mutilated them... 1 is dead, 1 has no ears and no front feet, but is still moving (wont be long tho, till it dies)...and 1 which is freezing cold, moving with 1 ear missing...dont think i can do anything about it. just hope she feeds the 1 with 1ear.

I am so sorry Tayer - really feeling for you and for Ffluer - sending hugs.

Does this happen a lot with bunnies?

i read that they only do it, by accident, but to chew of the ears and feet must mean she was stressed...! gutted one looked like soda pop... 2 looked like mum.

i have been reading up and there may be a chance of the 1 ear baby surviving its due to over grooming the baby...

iv had to do the hardest thing i have ever have to do...the 1 bunny is more or less dead but was still moving...i made the conscience decision to end its suffering...it had no ears, no feet and no tail...

she has the one in her nest, with 1 ear...gavs mum have all ready said if it survives she would like it...i hope she was sincere.

i feel like crap now.

Tayer - these are the hardest times when you breed any animal - it is horrible and it doesn't get any easier. I really hope that Ffluer settles with the one baby and you did the right thing for the other - far kinder and more humane.

well its freezing cold...its moving but it looks hungry....i know this sounds daft...but rogue is milking so i tried to see if it would have that...mmmmm dont know if it worked.

so iv taken it in, im gonna attempt to hand rear it, a long shot.
bunnies only get fed once a day...so im off tpo get some goats milk and a syringe.

Tayer - it is what I would have tried as well - good luck with hand rearing - don't know what I can do to help but even if it is just a text/phone call, here for you chuck. x

I hought I sounded daft...rogue is very maternal...she is grooming it, I'll try it with goats milk tonight if it's still alive..the only other thing is pining fluer down and latching baby on, if there is milk there.

No - there are such wonderful stories of animals taking little orphaned ones on - keep trying xx

my little miracle is still alive...
just put it on a heat mat, gonna try to feed it later...1st by pinning ffluer down 2nd plan is to try rogue again.
