DANGER: PLASTIC CAN-HOLDERS

PROBLEM:

Plastic can-holders such as beer can rings kill Hedgehogs and other wildlife when they are not disposed of correctly. If a small Hedgehog becomes ensnared by a plastic can-holder, as it grows the plastic will cut into its body and embed itself into the Hedgehogs skin. This may cause a wound to open up which is likely to become infected. If the plastic can-holder is not removed, the Hedgehog will die an agonising death.

SOLUTION:

Ensure you dispose of plastic can-holders correctly by cutting them up. Even when plastic can-holders reach the rubbish sites, if they are not cut up they will remain a danger.

We to squash ours before they are put in the bin but if cutting is better, it shall be done.
