now this may be a stupid question...but if you buy 1 thermostat...does that connect up to to more than 1 heat mat??

or should i buy a heat mat with a built in thermostat innit?? are they reliable??

Unless there is a special made double one, you will need one per heat mat. I don't think it would control 2 heat mats if you plugged it into a 4 plug thing either. Maybe Helen might have the answer to this from having the shop. The thermostat that I use has a probe on it Tayer and that would only measure the temp in one viv / zoozone etc.

I'm not sure about a built in one though.

You need a stat for each mat unless you buy the double one. I think it's cheaper to buy 2 single ones though

I was thinking this earlier Tayer, as habistat make a double one but I have the single one and with my heat lamp thing (its not a light but emits heat-confused) and herbs heat mat the thermostat seems to control both of them when put through a multi plug adaptor, but I don't trust it so don't wanna use it unless some one gives the heads up xx
