Update on Bramble one of my babies .x

Had a lovely update about Bramble who is from Dolly's first litter ...
Bramble is very well, he’s a little monkey and a right randy sod! He goes absolutely nuts when he smells a wild hedgehog nearby, squeaking and running bless him!



Anyway, he’s a tiny little hog still, he hovers around 340 grams, his maximum is about 350 but he’s not underweight at all, he’s a lovely little pocket hog!



Bramble is not into cuddles. He doesn’t mind being handled at all, he just doesn’t have time for it, he has too much running to do. So every night he gets ten minutes on my lap and 45 minutes on my lounge floor. His viv is in my lounge and I leave the door open for him when he’s running around and when he’s had enough he takes himself off to bed and I close the door.



He’s also a very intelligent hog, he knows his name and will come when you call him. He also knows to follow me when I walk, so if I need to go to the kitchen for something whilst he is out I shout him and he comes along, never straying more than one foot away from me. I haven’t trained him to do this, he’s just picked it up all by himself. He knows who mummy is! Either that or he knows where the minced beef comes from!



Anyway, we had a bit of a surprise last night. We got out of bed and the first thing we do is check on all the hogs, we currently have about 30 in residence. One of them Wendy free roams the house at night. This morning we noticed that she was asleep in the corner of the room, not like her, she is usually tucked up in her cat bed on her heat mat, so we picked her up and put her in her bed. A few minutes later she came running out and went back to the corner. So we checked her bed to see what the problem was. Bramble was tucked up right in the middle wrapped in her blanket! He had kicked out a 1200 gram wildie! First I was worried sick thinking he may have been injured but not a mark on him. It was only then that we discovered his tiny little poops dotted around in every room, it seems he had followed Wendy around all night! He probably drove her insane!



Anyway, tonight we will be cello taping his viv shut until I can get hold of the special locks for the glass! Little sod.



Bramble has fathered one litter of hoglets with my girl Teasel. There were four of them, three boys and a girl. The three boys went for the full price to three lovely homes and they have all updated me to say they are fine and loved. The little girl I have kept because she’s just gorgeous, although bramble just wants to have sex with her! If I’ve been handling her before Bramble he goes nuts over my hand, squeaking etc! He’s not right in the head!

Have to say i love getting updates most of my babies owners i have on facebook but Gemma has continued to keep me updated and for that im grateful .x

Lol .....he looks like he is a snowflake from that top picture Gemma .x

Strangely though he doesn't have any solid white quills. All of his quills are just mostly white with very small bands of brown.

He was always a odd colour Dolly throws out really dark masks with light quills .x

He's an odd hog! I'm trying to capture on film his rendezvous with the dust pan and brush, they're going steady.
