PostSubject: First Hedgie house   First Hedgie house Icon_minitimeTue Jul 10, 2012 1:04 pm

Hey guys!

Just wanted to ask for any help or opinions on my viv im trying to put together.

I don't really have anywhere to put a 3 foot viv, so I'm considering buying two 2ft vivs and getting my dad to work his magic joining them to make a two story viv. Does anyone have any experience with this? Will it even work? The last thing I want is to cause a hedgie any distress because Ive gone and got the wrong house.

I've done so much research I've gone and confused myself which would be best =[

I've got a fair few ideas but I'm worried they might not work

Heather

I had a 2foot 2story Viv, and personally I thought it was small, it done them when they were babies, but I upgraded to a 4footer. I custom built a ikea unit...By the time you put the ladder and the opening for it on the 2nd level, you don't get much floor space.

hi i think 2 2ft will be too small. the ramp takes a fair bit of room up so hoggie won't have a lot of space one the wheel and house are in. this is my 2 3fts

Would have to go for the two three foots - two foot really isn't enough space for them to run round.

I've encountered another problem!

As I'm going to have a 2 story viv, should I get 2 heat mats also?

I was planning on having the upstairs for the bed and the food, and the downstairs as the 'play room' with some aspen shavings for rummaging, toys and the wheel. Should I put a second mat downstairs as well as under the sleeping area?

Sorry for all the questions!
