Newbie:)

Hi, my names Elise! and I joined the forum a while ago but my laptop broke lol. I'm 16 and i live in Risca, South Wales. I own an algerian grey hedgie called Sukie, she is a little girl from the litter of Honey-Dew and Flint..Tayers hogs!. I absolutely love her and her little personality! still have a lot to learn though so i will be watching the forum constantly looking for tips:)- they are just gorgeous! I also have a blue budgie called poly (typical i know:L) and two staffy dogs who love my little hedgie.. Marley has occasional cuddles with sukie when she can be bothered, otherwise she just hunts for somewhere to sleep! shes deffo a cuddly hog!x

Oh that picture is just beautiful! i love white hoggies, i dont normally call them hoggies though.. i have a terrible habbit of calling them 'chogs' .. not sure where that started but it stuck!x And brilliant! i was just discussing his/her fabulous name yesterday and got the insperation to call my new chog (when i get them lol) paddington chog..:)xx

Im Annette I live in the West Midlands. I have one hog called Algernon (chocolate) and will be collecting a new sow soon called Gloria ( chocolate pinto atm).
I also have 2 hamsters and a crossbreed dog called Shandy!

I am owned by an Ernie Holt, who I adopted through our rescue, a Puddin' Features who I fostered but have now adopted, a Little Miss Daisy Splat, one of Helen's (Nelly) babies and in a couple of weeks we shall all be welcoming home Mushroom who is superchilled and super cute! The space I have left will be for any rescues we have coming through

I also have a staffie X English Bull with a huge pair of listeners!

Choggies are well addictive, as is this forum... so..... you have been warned!

Have a good nosie about and anything you cannot fin, are unsure of, or just want to know, the please ask.

They are addictive .. i have just kept one of my girls back from a litter i just had .. and hoping to find another girl in the next week or so to join my herd .

Im hoping to have another girl and a boy, then eventually breed them with the help and advice of tayer, not sure how to plan it out but il find homes for upto 6 hoggies and then hopefully if they sucessfully breed il be able to keep a hoggie which im not planning on breeding because of the close relation but if i get another hoggie thats the idea:) i wouldnt do it without everyones help though. Very addictive.. xxx

Breeding isnt as easy as you think Elise and its not just about putting them together ... you have to take quite a lot into consideration and its always avisable to own for at least a year ...
Moms can destroy litters , eat them ... plus you have to take into consideration that if you had 6 boys you would have to house them in seperate cages as they will fight .

Lots of us put money away each week .. i personally put 30 quid away a week so if i am met with vet bills due to a ill hog or hoglet .. then i have the money to treat them ..this way i have no worries . :O)x

oh im not hoping to do it anytime soon! thats a few years down the line when i have a lot more experience x

kirsty has piglet now called millie....she is also on here, but not yet introduced herself..i think she is KJmclean, on here.
millie hasnt been picked up yet, as kirsty has had trouble with seapets and them despatching the viv....

elise every one here are fab and full of advice...as sometimes im dont answer you straight way coz im in work or something.
