Hog house ...

When i started this project last year i didn't think it would ever come off we had a crappy start .. people making judgements .. and persuming that it wouldnt be done properly . With the help of my hubby and stepson and my lovely friend Helen and my friendly electrician Gary my friend who done the electrics for nothing i really couldnt have done this without there support and of course my friends on here we finished it ...

I am very proud of my husband and stepson for all the hard work they put in making sure that it was going to be warm enough in the winter and hot enough in the summer it was very much trial and error and i have had a few sleepless nights worrying if they would be warm enough ... I have not had one hibernation attempt since the hogs have been in the house lowest temp in reading was -5 .. so things are looking good . The hog house is not cheap to run .. in the winter the heat is on at all times and in the summer the air con is on .. keeping things cool ..

My love for the hedgehog has helped me through some very difficult times in my life a few of you are aware how bad things have been for me ... I have spent far more money then i have got out of it and its been a roller coaster but i wouldnt change a second .

The rug is for my benefit ... i need a nicer one but it does when im sitting on the floor playing with the hogs ... Ed still has to tidy up the wires a little for me ....

i see what you have done with your heat mats now...iv got mine in the vivs themselves...but they are small....

I keep them under the vivs .. I think i need some more sockets like Gary said lolx

can i re-do them and put more in then? shouldnt be too hard, should it.

Thanks girls ... I love sitting in there just me and the hogs ... can use my ipad or laptop in there and often take my house phone in their too well at least i get some peace and quiet .x
