| As it will soon be getting colder nights I'm looking into getting heat mats for my hoggies. Both my hoggies live in the zoozone 2 cages. What is good to use? I'm going to be buying/making vivs next mth so a product that suits both is preferable. Also I'd rather not have to use thermostats as well, but if I have to I will. Advice welcome | |

| I use heat mats...haven't had any problem with wire out viv....mats are shortest distance from plug....not an expert at this though...xxx | |

| but where can the wire go out?? ill have to make a hole wont i? in the back? i know im sounding thick..... but if its an easier option id go for it......me with tools just makes things worse and my hubby is no better at it. i think he is allergic to tools....lol | |

| i have put the cage next to the radiator, i have noticed on the thermometer it is making a diffrence. and when i put the lights on in the cage it heats it up. | |

| My wires come out the front by door hinges....but you have glass don't you....drill hole in back is my only suggestion there. Is your heating on all night? try putting a thermometer in to see how warm it gets....as I said I am no expert...just trying to help xx | |

| That's quite warm...ours only goes up to 21 poss 22 on a cold evening....we turn our heating off at night though xx | |

| can i just use a reptile heatmat conected to thermostat (my only worry is hogg chewing the cable how likely is this??

| my hoggie has never chewed anything before, but i would never say never....dont they have a cover over the wire to protect it from potential chewers? | |

| I turn my mats up on the thermo at present they are sitting at 23/24 in the winter i knock it up a little more .. you dont want your little one attempting hibernation .x | |

| mines at 23 at the mo, just sitting at the radiator......x what you think about the self heating pet pads?? it heats up with body heat!! with two hoggles, wont it work better!! | |

| I also need to get something heated too, even though the thermometer says its 23 they still get cold sometimes, i've been warming them with a hot water bottle and left one in there last night under their fleece. | |
