Unfortunately, the little hog we admitted during the weekend with the bad leg was put to sleep yesterday. The hedgehog we are treating rom Cornwall has been diagnosed with a throat infection. The hedgehog that was found trapped between two trees on Monday is thriving. Four hedgehogs are going to be released today!

Lots of activity around the feeding station in the garden during the night! I have just been into Prickles and the poorly boy we admitted yesterday is stable, he has had lots to eat and is now sleeping. The boy who found himself trapped between two trees continues to thrive! The boy from Cornwall has had food and water and all three crates look like demolition sites!!

It has been one of those traumatic days at Prickles, we have a number of very poorly hogs in, one was put to sleep today and a female weighing 353 grams with a open fracture to her back leg has just been admitted! She is so small for this time of year.

The hedgehog that was rushed to the vet screaming at lunchtime was given a very heavy duty analgesic but despite this it didn't stop screaming, we took the decision early evening to have it put to sleep! Clearing something very serious going on! Poor chap.

We are really going through it at Prickles! Going through admission after admission of hogs with fractures, hogs being found collapsed and hogs with heavy infestations of internal parasites! Poor hogs!
