| Hey Louise, at least you now know and can do something about it. So don't worry about it.
The forum is here to help new owners like yourself as well as ill-informed ones and will always give advice for our lovely little hedgehogs benefit.

| Just thought i would explain Pinto The pinto color in hedgehogs is actually a PATTERN and not a colour PINTO refers to the patches of WHITE markings which rndomly occur on the body of the hedgehog . Pinto hedgies are each unique . Hope this helps a little .x

| Hi Ladies ....another question I'm afraid I was wondering about bedding, at the moment Alfie has Aspen but I'm finding it abit messy when I get him out especially if he curls up and stashes some only to uncurl and deposit it every where !!!! Also my little boy had a tiny piece stuck in his sock and it was digging in his foot ( even tho I had hoovered !!!) I'm now wondering about using some fleece liners instead and would welcome any advice on these Many Thanks xxx | |

| Fleece liners are fantastic .... I use them in all my vivs except my pregnant and nursing moms . Helen does a lovely thick fleece padded set , Sheila does the thinner liners . Pouches need to be stiched really well with no loose threads hence why we only recommend our own sellers ..x Most of mine have pouches great when your getting them out to as you just lift the pouch out easy to wash and dry . | |

| Louise, I swear by the fleece liners. I have to clean Puddin's every couple of days because she makes a mess. Ernie is Mr Clean Guy and once a week his gets washed. I have a fleece pouch for Ernie that he loves sleeping either in or under and I also use a fleece bonding bag each when doing my housework so that they can hang around with me! xoxox | |

| I used to use sawdust but as the numbers grew I found it to be very time consuming changing it all the time - liners you can whip out and wash - my favourite xx | |

| Hello , Louise and Alfie I'm Helen , my little chog is called Chester he'll be 8 weeks tomorrow. Like Alfie he does like his sleep. Some night when he comes out he wont keep still and enjoys a run around the lounge for an hour . Other nights he'll climb into my jumper on up on my arm and go to sleep. I know what you mean about rearranging his cadge ,it's Chesters favorite evening pass time . He'll also upend his food bowl in protest if he doesn't like his dinner , or will eat the meat but leave the fruit or veggies . I have found everyone on the Prickly-Critterz Forum really friendly and helpful | |
